Spring HRD Training And Development Certification Program Offered

The Human Resource Development program in the College of Education and Human Development will be hosting its spring 2008 Training and Development Professional Certification Program March 30 through April 4 at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel. The opening dinner will take place on Sunday, March 30, and the closing ceremony will be on Friday, April 4.

The Training and Development Professional Certification Program is an intensive hands-on, competency-based program for both beginning and advanced training and development practitioners wanting to polish their skills or explore for the first time the field of training and development. Upon completion of this training program, participants will be awarded a certificate as a Certified Training Professional, said Larry Dooley, director of the Training and Development Professional Certification Program.

Early bird registration is $2,000 and must be received by March 1. Regular registration is $2,500 and participants have the option to pay in two installments, the first installment of $1,500 being due by March 10 and the second installment of $1,000 being due by March 17.

The registration fee includes 40 hours of competency-based training, a complete set of course materials, morning and afternoon refreshments, lunch and the certificate. Participants are encouraged to register early as enrollment is limited to 30 participants.

A hotel block of rooms is available at the Marriott Courtyard at a discounted rate of $85 per night. Participants wishing to reserve a room at this special rate should reference the EAHR Group code: EDUG.
